The aerial view of the gatehouse area is by Wessex and clearly shows the 2 abutments of the drawbridge pier, one on the castle gatehouse side, just behind the group of archaeologists and one on the edge of the south moat. It also clearly shows the base of the eastern tower to the right of the picture.
