It was great to see many of our Members on the Heritage Open Day weekend tours in September which as ever sold out very quickly with a waiting list of over 600! Here’s some feedback…..
“Just wanted to say a big thankyou to you and the team for putting on the tour of Sheffield Castle. I loved it!”
“I just wanted to say thank you for the brilliant tour yesterday- my friends and I all really enjoyed it”
“Just some feedback to say what a great event you and your colleagues put on for our tour of the castle site last weekend. Brilliant. Thanks to all.”
“We would just like to thank the team that took us around (including the “Friends” of Sheffield Castle) who put on an amazing display of understanding and knowledge in describing what we were looking at (without them it would have been impossible to understand anything). We learned an awful lot, and will forever look upon the place in awe in future. A great piece of work all round. Thank you.”
Huge thanks for this to Ash Tuck from Wessex for leading the tours and to Natasha from Wessex for doing all the organisation for us.
We also took part in the Festival of the Mind, organised by Sheffield University where Martin Gorman, Prof John Moreland and Ashley Tuck took part in a presentation and panel debate at the Spiegeltent in Barkers Pool. This was really well attended with over 150 people inside, again great to see some familiar faces and some excellent questions.
