A press release from Wessex covers Week 5 of the works on site. This covers the detailed work around the finding of the furnace from weeks 2 to 4 and a fantastic 3D model/record of the crucible furnaces.  We understand this will now be removed to allow the archaeologists to excavate the Castle gatehouse area, so news on that in the coming weeks.
